The Great Penrith Picnic 2026

Playtime in the Park!

Saturday 4th July – 12noon-5pm

Everyone is welcome for this free event in the wonderful Castle Park, Penrith.

With music, wild play, tennis, golf, playground, food, and tasters for local clubs and groups… it will be a great day to be active and entertained!

• Throughout the park we have various stalls with ‘have a go’ activities and information.
• Food trucks situated in the centre for easy snacks and drinks.
• Wild Play Area – Messy, natural play for all ages. 
• Music from the bandstand will float throughout the park.
• Roaming fun with our wandering acts.
• Historic tours of Penrith Castle by English Heritage.
• The park is home to the Penrith Tennis Club and Penrith Bowling Club so find out more on the day.
